Moms Homemade Biscuits

The weather is still warm here in Southern California , but in anticipation of the cooler temps ahead I wanted to share my Moms homemade biscuit recipe.  I remember mom whipping up a batch in the evening to have with melted butter and jam, such a yummy little treat.  Mom was raised on a farm in Illinois and dad was a Southern Gent from Alabama.  They met in Chicago which is where I and my 4 siblings grew up.

  2. Add milk and stir with a fork until it forms a rough ball.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a well-floured surface and pat it down into to about an inch thick. Fold it over and gently pat it down again. Repeat. Cover the dough loosely with a kitchen towel and allow it to rest for about 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
